Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s Cup defending champions Ulinzi Starlets, will kick off their title defence on March 18 with an away fixture against Division One Zone B side Gusii Starlets.
Ulinzi Starlets who are currently fifth in the FKF PL standings are in a better position to record victory in this match following their 7-0 victory over Kangemi Ladies in their last League match
According to the draw that was conducted by former Harambee Starlets players Doreen Nabwire and Terry Ouko as alongside Highway Boys High School football head coach Beldine Odemba on Thursday at Kenya Institute of Special Education in Nairobi, 10 FKFWPL teams, 16 teams from Division One and six teams from the county leagues have direct tickets of featuring in the round 32 of competition.
Besides Ulinzi Starlets, other FKF Women Premier League teams drawn in the round of 32, include FKF-WPL defending champions Thika Queens were paired against Migori Educational Centre while 2021 CAF Women Champions League Cecafa Qualifiers champions Vihiga Queens are set to face Kolwa Falcons, Nakuru City Queens who will take on Young Bullets, Bunyore Starlets who will face off with Kahawa Queens while Zetech Sparks will battle Mac Millan Queens.
Kisumu All Starlets will square it out with MTG United as Kangemi Ladies host Division One side Soccer Sister.
The round of 32 is set for March 18-19 before paving way for the round of 16 to be played in April followed by quarterfinals on May 20. The semi-finals will be played on June 24 while the final is scheduled for July 2.
